LIS by Lesaffre recently celebrated its 90th anniversary in Cérences during a special day dedicated to sharing, discovery and meaningful exchanges.
Customers, suppliers, institutional partners and local authorities gathered to mark this major milestone in the company’s history.

Over the decades, the company has continuously evolved and adapted while preserving the local roots that remain one of its greatest strengths today. The trust-based relationships developed with customers, suppliers, partners and local stakeholders have played a key role in its growth and long-term success.
An Immersion into Industrial Expertise
The anniversary celebration offered visitors a comprehensive tour of the site and its various activities.
Participants had the opportunity to explore several production areas, including drying facilities and mix & pack operations. These visits provided a concrete overview of the industrial expertise developed by LIS by Lesaffre over the years and highlighted the technical excellence that characterizes its operations.
Discussions with employees also gave visitors valuable insight into the company’s daily challenges and the innovations implemented to meet evolving market needs.
A Strong Commitment to Sustainable Development
The event also showcased several major investments that reflect the company’s environmental commitment.
Among them, the biomass boiler plays a central role in the site’s energy strategy. Powered by wood sourced within a 60-kilometre radius of the plant, it promotes the use of local resources while helping reduce carbon emissions.
Visitors also discovered the site’s new water recycling system, which enables part of the treated wastewater to be reused. This installation saves nearly 40,000 cubic metres of water each year and actively contributes to the preservation of natural resources.
These initiatives demonstrate LIS by Lesaffre’s determination to continue its transition towards an increasingly responsible, efficient and sustainable industrial model.
